Books@BEA 2012

Books@BEA is the official on-line product catalog for BookExpo America 2012 and is powered by Edelweiss, the industry's leading provider of interactive publisher catalogs.  Books@BEA will be promoted in the BEA marketing campaign driving attendees to the BEA Web site to browse and search the Books@BEA catalog for title and rights information.  In addition, there will be a mobile app and other planned programs for the show using Books@BEA information, so we strongly encourage you to participate.

Below is a list of key points related to Books@BEA, including key dates. 

Publisher access to the Books@BEA website for purposes of adding, editing, or deleting titles has already been granted via the Map Your Show area of the Book Expo website. Click on the Book@BEA banner on the right of the page once you have logged in.

• Only contracted BookExpo exhibitors can add titles to Books@BEA.  If you are an author or publisher distributed by a BookExpo exhibitor, you must work through your distributor to add any titles to Books@BEA.

• Include only the titles that you are featuring at the show.  Titles with publication dates after May 1st 2011 are eligible for participation.

Title information in the Books@BEA on-line catalog will be drawn from four sources: Edelweiss (for participating publishers), Reed Exhibitions, Ingram Book Company, and any manual entry you choose to do that supplements or replaces available Ingram data.

• For non-Edelweiss publishers, Ingram Book Company title data will be the source for title information such as bibliographic data and cover images.  If you do not currently provide Ingram with your title data, email us at support@abovethetreeline.com to request information on how to do this.  There is also an "Edit" button which will launch an edit window to allow you to add or override Ingram info and add cover images as needed.

• Accordingly, please make sure your title information is as complete and accurate as possible within these two sources if you plan to participate in Books@BEA.  This is the most important step you can take to ensure the smoothest possible process for your titles.

Adding your titles to Books@BEA is very simple.  Log onto Map Your Show with your exhibitor ID and password, and click the Book@BEA banner. Paste in the ISBNs you want to feature.  The system will automatically populate title information using data from Edelweiss, Reed Exhibitions, and Ingram Book Company.

• If the title data is not yet loaded, you will see a notification message.  This message will stop appearing once the title data has been loaded and is detected by the system.

• Title ISBN's can be entered into Books@BEA any time through Thursday, May 24th.

The public version of Books@BEA will launch around May 14th and will remain live through the end of June 2012.

We will be offering ongoing fee-based services for interested exhibitors.
