10/25/2010 - Wiley Joins Edelweiss

John Wiley & Sons to Publish Web-Based Catalogs via Edelweiss Interactive Publisher Catalogs

Ann Arbor, Michigan - October 25th, 2010 -

Above the Treeline is pleased to announce that John Wiley & Sons has selected Edelweiss, Above the Treeline's interactive publisher catalog system, to publish catalogs on the web.  With the addition of Wiley's frontlist titles, Edelweiss' web-based publisher catalogs will encompass more than 87,000 titles across 850 imprints from over 30 publishers.

The addition of Wiley means that the 12 of the top 13 trade publishers in the US are now using Edelweiss to sell and promote their titles to book industry professionals.  Another nineteen mid-sized to large publishers are also using Edelweiss' workflow-oriented tools to reduce printed sales materials and share information more efficiently and effectively than ever before.  In total, these publishers represent over 85% of a typical general bookstore's frontlist sales.

"I'm very impressed with the Edelweiss interactive web catalog, and look forward to sharing Wiley's titles with booksellers and other book industry professionals," said Jack Day, Wiley's Vice President of Retail Sales.  "The functionality built into the online platform is robust, and we plan to take full advantage of the catalog as a sales planning and presentation tool.  In addition, we are excited to use Edelweiss to support our publicity and events-driven activity as well."

"Wiley has been a great partner with our business intelligence tool for years and we're excited to have them join the Edelweiss family," said Treeline CEO John Rubin. "Those who have come to rely on Edelweiss will now have access to Wiley's titles through our digital catalogs, and we know they'll be really happy to have them on board."
