4/27/2010 - Perseus Book Group to Publish Web-Based Catalogs via Edelweiss Interactive Publisher Catalogs

Ann Arbor, Michigan - April 27th, 2010 - Above the Treeline is pleased to announce that the Perseus Books Group has selected Edelweiss, Above the Treeline's interactive publisher catalog system, to publish frontlist catalogs on the web. With the addition of the Perseus frontlist titles, Edelweiss' web-based publisher catalogs will encompass more than 50,000 titles across 775 imprints from over 30 publishers.

Retailers, librarians, publicists, and other users of publisher catalogs will be able to review Perseus' Fall 2010 titles via Edelweiss by the end of May.

Matty Goldberg, VP, Sales and Marketing for The Perseus Books Group, said: "We're excited to make the jump to digital catalogs.  We've been very impressed by the flexibility and intelligence behind the Edelweiss catalogs and think they have many advantages over our current approach, including rich features focused on productivity and workflow efficiency.  In addition, there seems to be an enthusiastic and growing user base among retailers.  We're looking forward to supplementing our print catalogs and making the best use of this new tool as we go out to sell the Fall list."

"The Perseus Book Group represents some of the best and most diverse publishing in the world today," said Treeline CEO John Rubin. "Through their Constellation offering, Perseus is clearly a leader in all things digital. We couldn't be more excited to have them join Edelweiss.  I have no doubt that the many industry professionals who rely on Edelweiss will be equally excited to have access to the Perseus Book Group's digital catalogs."
