Coming Soon to Edelweiss!
Check out our item below on some of the new features you can expect to see soon in Edelweiss.

New Serendipity Spotlight in Weekly Email
Each week or two, we'll be highlighting a new Edelweiss publisher who has signed on to our new small publisher option called Serendipity.  These small publishers are working hard to reach booksellers, librarians, and other book professionals.  We're working to make Edelweiss a strong and diverse ecatalog resource with a wide array of large and small publishers.  Please take a few moments to check out these publishers and their titles.  Also, please pass along any feedback you may have.  Thanks!

Cheers,

Mark

Edelweiss: In the Pipeline
blossom

Here's a quick list of the new features we're working to deliver in the next few weeks and months.  As always, we welcome your feedback on things you'd like to see.

Rep Ordering

This feature will expand greatly on the existing order-sharing capability by opening up Edelweiss for order-taking as well. Sales reps will be able to create an order, mark catalogs with quantities as a buyer decides on numbers (regardless of whether the account they are working with uses Edelweiss!) and then export and submit the order the way they would any buyer-created order.

Quick Tagging

A slick new way to add tags more quickly, directly on the page, rather than through the current pop-up window. This is in beta testing - if you are a frequent tagger interested in trying this out, please let us know and we will add you to the beta test group!

Publicity Module

A big new feature in development and beta testing is a module for publishers to manage and broadcast publicity information about their titles. There will also be a way to coordinate author event requests at bookstores between publishers, reps and stores, which would speed up and greatly improve the current widespread process of circulating events grids by email.

Browsing titles by Rights Availability

You may have seen that we are now displaying subrights information from some publishers on the detail page. We are working on expanding visibility to the list view, to the title browsing feature, and to a rights-specific tab. This promises to be an efficient way for rights buyers and browsers to research titles where foreign or audio rights are available.
