Edelweiss User Tip: Edit POS Info as You Go

Buyer Tip: Editing bibliographic and POS-specific fields as you review a catalog
If you are using one of the POS systems that can be set as a POS default* you can enable an option that allows you to do some title editing directly as you review a catalog. This means you can tweak things that will end up in your POS system - standard fields like title and author, but also the special fields that your POS system can support, that are not necessarily viewable on the screen, such as:

  • Second category (WordStock, BookLog, IRT)
  • Book Class and Book Type (Square One)
  • Line item discount (BookLog, Square One, WordStock, IRT) 
  • Misc1, Misc2, and department (IRT)
    •
* WordStock, Anthology, BookLog, IBID (DOS), IBID/ie, [i]Merchant, Square One, IRT

Also, a couple of the functions at the top of the list view screen were recently relocated to the Actions menu  - Add Elements (now "Set Display Elements") and Accept all rep suggestions.
