Booksellers: New to Edelweiss?

If you've recently received a marked up catalog email from one of your sales reps and aren't too sure what to do with it now, we have a helpful "Getting Started" document here for you.
Reps, you might consider sending this document along to your newer Edelweiss users.  Also, this FAQ has links to other materials you might find useful for your accounts who are new to Edelweiss.

Winter Institute
We'll be at Winter Institute 7 this week with a (very) few time slots still open for the Consultation Station. We'll also be hanging about to answer your questions the rest of the time.
As I'm writing this, we have single half hour slots open at: 10:30, 11, 11:30,12, 12:30, 1, 5 and 5:30.
Email ruth@abovethetreeline.com if you'd like to reserve one of these times.

Cheers,

Joe

Managing Your Orders

Keeping your Edelweiss orders organized is one of the better ways to make the whole process clean, smooth and easy. Making use of the Work List, naming your orders in such a way that you can tell at a glance what they are, and marking orders as "Completed" once you're finished with them will generally all make things easier for you in the long run.

Once you're finished with an order (meaning you've gone over it with your rep, they've placed the order, you've gone through the import process, etc.) marking it "Completed" will remove it from your "Active Orders" list so you don't accidentally use it later, as well as generally just cleaning up the Orders Tab and making sure that only new and relevant orders are visible.
You can find more details about this here

It's worth mentioning that your reps will still be able to see your order if you mark it "Completed," so you're not going to mess them up at all.

REPS: You can mark orders "Completed" on your end as well, without fear of altering what your accounts see on their end. So, once you've submitted the order, you can clean up your own Orders Tab by marking stores' orders as "Completed."

As usual, please feel free to contact us at support@abovethetreeline.com with any questions.
